The Pacific studies books can be found in different areas of the library’s collections. Most are kept in the Macmillan Brown Library, but there are also some in the Central Library. We use the Library of Congress classification system for arrangement.

Many books about the Pacific are classified in the DU (history) section, but they are also in other sections too (see list on right).

Every item in the Library has a unique call number which can be found by using the Library Catalogue.

Tip : To get the best retrieval when searching for Pacific Islands information you can use the terms Oceania, South Seas, Islands Pacific or just Pacific. Alternatively, narrowing your search to a region or country will give more focused results eg, Micronesia or Samoa
