How to Request Items (excluding journals)

1. Search the Library Catalogue online to find the items you need.

2. Click on the title of the item you wish to request.
Once you are in the record for this item you can request it by clicking the following button:

3. The system will then ask you to log on to your Library Account with your username and password. (your username is on your Canterbury Card and should be your initials and a number. Your password was sent to you with your Canterbury Card)

4. You will be asked to choose a pick-up location. Distance students can only choose 'Education Library'.

5. Items will be posted out to you. If already on loan to another borrower, a request will be generated.

6. Each package sent includes a Free Post sticker and a printout of the items issued to you and when they are due.

Note: The due date is the date they need to be back in the library it is NOT the date you post the items. You will need to allow 4-5 days postage to get items back to us.

POSTAL CHANGES:

Good News! All 3 day loan items will now be couriered throughout New Zealand. Also all items will now be couriered to those borrowers living within Christchurch city limits.
