TKI has an Education for Sustainability homepage.
It also links out to a wide range of resources through their search engine. To find material, select "Environmental Education" from the "filters" column (left), and then select required keywords from the "keywords" column (centre) and click "search".

Sustainable Living.org From the NZ Sustainable Living Education Trust. Contains practical information on actions you can take and on courses available around the country.

Māori Perspectives

State of the Takiwā: From Ngāi Tahu, this discusses some cultural values in relation to the environment

Toitu te Whenua: Ngai Tahu's relationship with the natural environment- a brief statement

Māori and the Crown: A report on matauranga Māori and Taonga from the Waitangi Tribunal

Tī Kouka Whenua: Sites of significance to Ngāi Tahu in and around Christchurch (from Christchurch City Libraries)

Local Information
Many council websites have information on a wide range of environmental issues and some have resources developed for school use.

LocalEye is a very useful starting point for local information.
It has a specific section on sustainability which links to council and business initiatives and to practical ideas for action.

Environment Canterbury
Use the tabs at the top of the page to find relevent information.

Nelson City Council
The Environment page has links to both sustainability and Environmental Education pages.

Tasman District Council
Links from the Environment page include Sustainable Living, Resources for Teachers, and a State of the Environment in Tasman report.

Rubbish Free Year Matt and Waveney of Christchurch went rubbish-free in 2008.
