The Macmillan Brown Library is the University of Canterbury's research collection of New Zealand and Pacific Islands materials. It is located in Te Ao Mārama: the Māori and Pacific Studies Building, on the northeast side of the campus, on Arts Road.

The Journal of the Polynesian Society is now online from 1892-1991. The Journal is a rich resource for the study of Māori and other Pacific Island people and cultures. The University of Auckland Library and the Polynesian Society have collaborated to digitise the first one hundred years.
