List to load into EndNote

This is a biosciences journals terms list that contains the titles of biological journals with formal BIOSIS abbreviations

Abbreviated Journal Titles

To start EndNote using abbreviated journal titles instead of the journal titles in full you need to:

• Open the EndNote Library
• Tools
• Define Term Lists
• Select Journals
• Import lists
• Select the text file of journal abbreviations you have just downloaded from this page

Now you need to use a style that will select journal abbreviations

**If you have journals already in your terms list it is best to delete them before you import the new list**

• Open the Endnote Library
• Click on Tools
• Choose Open term lists
• Then Journals term list
• Then choose New term button
• A dialogue box opens - enter the full title in the full journal box and the abbreviation in the Abbreviation 2 box
• Click on OK and the journal will be added to the term list
