Welcome to the English Literature Subject Guide

The Library has a huge range of resources available to English literature students. Ask your Subject Librarian for help in using any of these.

DVDs in Puaka James Hight – location change (9/10/23)

The location of the DVD collection in Puaka James Hight has changed. The DVDs are now shelved on Level 8 (previously Level 7). Signs in the old area of Level 7 are up to remind everyone of the new location.

The DVDs without a NZ classification have moved to into storage, but are requestable through the Library catalogue.

Landfall Archive

The Landfall Archive (hosted by Otago University Press) offers for the first time free public access to the fine writing (and art) that appeared in the pages of the journal’s earliest issues.

This digital Landfall archive has two components:

  1. Searchable facsimile PDFs of the first 40 years of Landfall: every issue up to the end of 1986 (160 issues); and
  2. An index of every item published in Landfall up to Vol. 40 No. 4 (December 1986), searchable by author, title and keyword.

The digitisation of Landfall is an ongoing project. Further back issues will continue to be digitised and indexed.
