Te Rua currently has four sewing machines available for use.
These include: 3x Brother Innovis A16, 1x Toyota CEV
We supply:
- Sewing machines
- Bobbins, pins, needles, thread, etc
- Fabric scissors and cutting mats
- Random buttons and scrap pieces of fabric
You will need to provide any specific garments/textiles/thread etc necessary to your project if we do not have it, or you need it in large quantities.
Note: we do not currently have access to an overlocker.

This is an ORANGE tiered machine so requires a Te Rua Makerspace induction to operate independently.
Sewists with recent prior experience, who feel confident and comfortable can attend a sewing machine induction class to gain access.
For beginners, or rusty sewists, you will need to attend this induction class followed by the guided sewing workshop.
