We have one Roland BN-20 vinyl printer/cutter.

  • sticker - white matte

  • sticker - clear
  • poster paper
  • heavy duty floor vinyl

Introduction to the Roland

This machine allows you to print and cut on long rolls of vinyl. You can use this vinyl to create awesome stickers!

Most students use it to print stickers to stick on their laptop, phone case or brand new Stanley cup but decals for windows, walls etc can also be produced to varying degrees. Small runs of stickers can also be printed for UC clubs!

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE NO LONGER OFFER HEAT TRANSFER VINYL FOR GARMENTS ON THE ROLAND PRINTER.
Please refer to the direct-to-garment printer, Cricut or embroidery machine for our garment design resources :)

NOTE

The Roland vinyl printer is a RED tiered machine so only Makerspace staff are able to operate it.

However, makers are able to get inducted to be able to prepare and log their own designs into our print queue. We will then print all jobs in the queue a few times a week and makers can collect their prints when completed.

Get inducted!

In order to get inducted please complete the following steps:

Please note:

  • The quiz will cover information shown in the induction video so make sure you watch properly.
  • If you are unable to attend the specific induction times available, either make an appointment with Te Rua staff or email to organise another time.
