We have one Roland BN-20 vinyl printer/cutter.
Current types of vinyl currently available are:
This machine allows you to print and cut on long rolls of vinyl. Your resulting creation will depend on the type of vinyl loaded onto the machine for your job.
Most students use it to print awesome stickers to stick on their laptop, phone case or brand new Stanley cup. Small runs of stickers can also be printed for UC clubs!
We have various adhesive vinyls which can be used to create custom stickers, and we also have Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV) which is applied to garments with our heat-press to make awesome textile designs.
The Roland vinyl printer is a RED tiered machine so only Makerspace staff are able to operate it.
However, makers are able to get inducted to be able to prepare and log their own designs into our print queue. We will then print all jobs in the queue a few times a week and makers can collect their prints when completed.
In order to get inducted please complete the following steps:
NOTE: If you want to just print stickers, you only have to complete steps 1 & 2 of this process.
Complete step 3 if you want to use the vinyl to print onto garments such as tees and totes.
