Statistics New Zealand offers many sources of statistics for researchers.

Under the CONZUL agreement UC Library has an annual allocation of hours which may be used to make requests for customised data by researchers.  Contact Janette Nicolle, the UC contact officer for details. 

There is an Integrated Data Infrastructure Lab at UC.

There are numerous databases and web-sites that provide statistical data, including Statistics New Zealand.
