Nursing Journals

There are two ways of searching for papers from NZ nursing journals. The first is to do a topic search in a nursing database (or MultiSearch or Google Scholar) then add keywords for New Zealand (Māori, Aotearoa, NZ etc). The second is to search the contents of each journal separately. The first method will find more results as some papers relating to New Zealand will be published in international journals, but the second method will provide a more thorough look through each journal.

New Zealand Acts Relevant to Nursing

• The Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022 replaces the previous district health board system with a national public health service, called Health New Zealand. The Act also established a separate Māori Health Authority and a new Public Health Agency.
